Rolando Claure Del-Granado

Rolando Claure-Del Granado, MD, FASN, FISN, is a nephrologist and clinical researcher from Cochabamba, Bolivia. He is Professor of Medicine at the Universidad Mayor de San Simón School of Medicine and Director of the AKI & CRRT Program in the Division of Nephrology at Hospital Obrero No. 2 – Caja Nacional de Salud. He is also a Clinical Research Investigator at IIBISMED. Dr. Claure-Del Granado’s work focuses on acute kidney injury, extracorporeal therapies, biomarkers in AKI, implementation science, mobile health, and kidney care delivery in resource-limited settings. He has been actively involved in global nephrology initiatives, including the International Society of Nephrology 0by25 and Kidney Care Network programs, and has contributed to international efforts aimed at improving early recognition and management of AKI. He currently serves as a Member of the KDIGO Executive Committee, Co-Chair of the Acute Kidney Injury Committee of the Latin American Society of Nephrology and Hypertension, Chair of the ISN Fellowship Program, and Lead of the ISN Mentorship Program. He has authored more than 200 scientific publications, including original articles, reviews, abstracts, and book chapters.
