John Prowle

I graduated in medicine with distinction from the University of Cambridge in 1999 and undertook my Doctoral Research under the supervision of Prof Rinaldo Bellomo in Melbourne Australia from 2007-10. I have co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications and over 30 book chapters with an H-index of 64. I am a past chair of the AKI scientific section of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine. My areas of interest include Acute Kidney Injury, Renal replacement Therapy in the ICU, the Epidemiology of Critical Illness and its recovery, and the impact of multi-morbidity on high risk surgical and ICU outcomes. My research skills are focused on data science, clinical epidemiology, risk prediction and clinical trial design including fluency in advanced data analysis and modelling in R language and environment for statistical computing.
