Professor Sejoong Kim is a nephrologist and Professor of Medicine at Seoul National University College of Medicine, and practices at Bundang Seoul National University Hospital. He currently serves as the Chief Quality Officer at the hospital and is actively involved in advancing clinical systems and patient-centered care.
His clinical and research interests focus on acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), and critical care nephrology, with particular emphasis on continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and precision fluid management. He has played a leading role in developing national clinical practice guidelines for CRRT in Korea and is actively engaged in international collaborations to improve kidney care in critically ill patients.
Professor Kim is also a strong advocate for shared decision-making (SDM) in nephrology and has led multiple initiatives integrating artificial intelligence into patient care and medical decision processes. His work aims to bridge clinical practice, policy, and innovation to improve outcomes for patients with kidney disease.
