Shotaro Matsumoto
Dr. Shotaro Matsumoto is a head of the Division of Critical Care Medicine at the National Center for Child Health and Development in Tokyo, Japan. He received a medical degree from Nagasaki University in 2003 and a Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Science, Tokyo in 2022. He studied the biological mechanisms of acute lung injury using a murine model and ex-vivo human lung at the University of California, San Francisco. His recent research focuses more on ECMO, end-of-life care, and organ donation.
